Development work

Robinson has worked extensively promoting good governance and development in the Middle East and Africa, usually with the US Agency for International Development (USAID).  He has led or been part of teams conducting fieldwork on: DRG assessments (Democracy, Human Rights, and Governance) in Egypt, South Sudan, and West Bank/Gaza; Corruption assessments in Yemen and Jordan; and multiple RoL (Rule of Law) projects in both Jordan and West Bank/Gaza. In 2022 he was Team Leader for a seven-person team analyzing civil society and media in Libya.  Robinson also served on a two-person team evaluating the Negotiations Support Unit of the PLO on behalf of the British Department for International Development (DFID).
